Lung cancer clinic

The multidisciplinary Providence Lung Cancer Clinic continues to welcome patients with newly diagnosed lung cancer. The weekly clinic offers a dedicated multispecialty tumor board to review the patient’s imaging, pathology and clinical information. The board then discusses treatment options and recommendations.

At the clinic visit, the patient may be seen by multiple specialists to develop a coordinated treatment plan at that single visit.

The lung cancer clinic functions as a service to provide a comprehensive second opinion from multiple specialties, as well as offering state-of-the-art collaborative care and access to clinical trials.

Participants include pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, social workers, pathologists, radiologists and clinical trials research staff.

The tumor board, which meets right before the lung cancer clinic, welcomes presentations by providers. To present a case at the tumor board, please contact Cathy Betzer at cathy.betzer@providence.org, 503-215-6724, or Michelle Schaefer, michelle.schaefer@providence.org, at 503-215-3595. Web conferencing for presentation and imaging review can be arranged.
