Providence Gynecologic Oncology Program will begin seeing patients at Providence Cancer Center. I want to share the vision of our patent-centric program and acknowledge all the expertise that will make a real difference in our patients’ well-being.

The vision: The gynecologic oncology program will distinguish itself by providing optimal care to patients and families touched by cancer.

The program will provide compassionate, evidence-based, organized care in partnership with Northwest Cancer Specialists. The program will strive to efficiently coordinate the full spectrum of care for patients, starting with preinvasive disease screening and treatment for our underserved population, and extending to specialized surgery and radiation treatment options.

Genetic risk evaluation and testing (the GREAT program) will be available for our gynecologic cancer patients. The GREAT program is championed by Lucy Langer, M.D. Palliative care expertise and consultations are arranged by Angela Kalisiak, M.D., in collaboration with Providence Connections and Providence Home Health Palliative Care.

Jun Ma, N.P., Ph.D., oversees the portal for research trials. The expanded menu of research trials will be increased by including Northwest Cancer Specialists trials through US Oncology Network and Gynecologic Oncology Group, as well as novel translational clinical trials directly accessed through the Robert W. Franz Cancer Research Center in the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute at Providence Cancer Center. I look forward to serving your patients.
